Fredao has been selling clothing in the Lapa since the end of the nineties. The neighbourhood has changed around us more than once; what has not changed is that people come in, try things on, and get an opinion they can trust.
We buy to a plan. Before a season we look at what actually sold, by piece and by size, and we set the mix and the size curve against that rather than against what we remember. It is why the middle sizes are still on the rail in week three.
Selling somebody a piece that comes back costs more than the sale was worth, so we would rather lose the sale than talk you into it. That is the whole trick, and there is nothing clever about it.
